Youth Day 1998 pumps it up with the
highly energetic and humorous antics of musician and storyteller Jesse Manibusan, a.k.a. Puff
Daddy Wannabe, from Northern California. |

Opening Session |
The opening keynote will be given by the
enthusiastic Michael Patin.
He comes to us from the Diocese of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he is the Director of CYO
and Youth Ministry.

Morning Workshops |
Immediately following the keynote, participants
will be able to attend their ticketed workshops, which are listed on the following pages. |

Liturgy |
Bishop Joseph Sartoris presided at a Liturgy in the
Arena with the music featuring parish youth choirs from our Archdiocese all under the
Direction of Ed Archer. In the Anaheim Room, Fr.
Roger Labonte from St. Elisabeth's Parish (Van Nuys, Calif.)
will preside at a Liturgy where the youth choir from St. Dominic's (Eagle Rock, Calif.)
will lead us in song, under the direction of Randy De Vera. |

Afternoon Workshops |
Once fed, participants will again be able to be
filled at the second round of workshops, which are listed on the following pages. |

Rally |
Youth Day builds to a
mild roar that concludes in a rally with some exciting surprises that will be energized by
youth from our Archdiocese. Everyone will be inspired to go forth "Imaging Love and
Empowering Lives." |

Who can attend?
All students from public and Catholic schools,
grades 9 through 12, are invited to our annual YOUTH DAY. STUDENTS BELOW 9th GRADE ARE NOT
ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT AND WILL BE REFUSED ADMISSION.
