Lead with Eyes of Wisdom at Youth Day 1999!

8:30 a.m. Music in the Arena Youth Day 1999 kicked off with Youth Day veterans Steve Angrisano and Jesse Manibusan waking us up with rousing music and much more.

9:30 a.m. Opening Session
The opening keynote was given by the enthusiastic Fr. John Cusick from the Chicago Archdiocese. Fr. John shared his ideas of what it means to Lead with Eyes of Wisdom!

9:45 a.m. Morning Workshops Immediately following the keynote, participants were able to attend their ticketed workshops. There were some great speakers to choose from this year!

11:00 a.m. Liturgy
Cardinal Roger Mahony presided at a liturgy in the Arena with music provided by youth from different parish/school choirs from our Archdiocese, all under the direction of Ed Archer from St. Monica’s in Santa Monica.

Our second liturgy was led by Fr. Michael Gutierrez, from the parishes of St. Columbkille and Nativity in South Central Los Angeles presiding, and will feature the music of Jesse Manibusan and the youth choir from Holy Cross Parish in Moorpark.

12:15 p.m. Lunch The 11, 123 registered youth shared a moment with others from across the Archdiocese!

1:30 p.m. Afternoon Workshops Here was a second chance to hear the great speakers of Youth Day.

2:45 p.m. Rally Youth Day ’99 ended by showcasing the talents of many youth from across the Archdiocese. Our exciting closing rally bolstered all to go into the world Leading with Eyes of Wisdom!

3:30 p.m. Dismissal

Who can attend?

All students from public and Catholic schools, grades 9 through 12, are invited to our annual YOUTH DAY. STUDENTS BELOW 9th GRADE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT AND WILL BE REFUSED ADMISSION.
