2012 RECongress Registration for Priests

Religious Education Congress
 March 18-20, 2012

In recent years we have noticed that an increasing number of the faithful are approaching confessors for the celebration of the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the Religious Education Congress at Anaheim. To meet this growing need, I turn to you and ask that you consider giving of yourselves in sharing your ministry with those who seek sacramental reconciliation.

I am fully aware that weekends are already incredibly busy times for us, and demands on our time and energies are great. Nonetheless, on behalf of those who seek to celebrate the sacrament in a meaningful and fruitful manner, I ask you to consider making a special effort, if it is at all possible for you, to be present for at least one of the scheduled opportunities for Sacramental Reconciliation. Our goal is to avoid having to turn away anyone seeking the sacrament. Please consider signing up for at least one opportunity so that the faithful may have a meaningful sacramental experience.

  • Priests planning to attend Congress will receive a reduced-rate congress registration and a lunch voucher.
  • Priests not attending Congress but willing to share their ministry for a few hours will receive a complimentary parking pass, a lunch voucher, and a complimentary pass to the Exhibit Hall.

To receive these benefits in return for your service, you need to respond no later than February 25, 2012.

Durante los Congresos de Educación Religiosa de los últimos años hemos experimentado un aumento en el número de personas que desean celebrar el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. Por ese motivo, me dirijo a ustedes con el objeto de solicitar su colaboración en este aspecto del ministerio.

Soy consciente de que los fines de semanas son días increíblemente ocupados para nosotros; además de las demandas del tiempo y energía, que son enormes. No obstante, les solicito que consideren el hacer un esfuerzo especial – para quienes sea posible, – de presentarse por lo menos a uno de los tiempos designados para el Sacramento de la Reconciliación. Nuestra meta es el evitar que las personas partan sin recibir dicho Sacramento por falta de ministros. Por favor, anótense por lo menos una vez para que todos los fieles puedan vivir una experiencia significativa sacramental.

  • Los sacerdotes que tienen planeado participar en el Congreso recibirán un descuento en la registración y un boleto para almorzar.
  • Los sacerdotes que no participarán en el Congreso pero que quisieran colaborar con el Sacramento de Reconciliación por algunas horas recibirán un pase de estacionamiento, un boleto para almorzar y un pase para la Sala de Exhibiciones.

Los formularios deberán ser recibidos antes del 25 de febrero; de lo contrario no se podrá garantizar los beneficios mencionados anteriormente.
