PARKING AT CONGRESS

The Anaheim Convention Center is currently undergoing construction. Car Park 1 (off Katella Ave. and adjacent to the Arena) is the site for their latest project. This expansion -- its seventh since opening in 1967 -- will add 200,000 square feet of meeting space and will replace Car Park 1. Construction began summer 2015 and is expected to be open in last Summer 2017. Watch a video about the expansion here. You can find complete information about the project online at www.accexpansion.com .

WHERE? During construction, you may park in Car Park 4 or Car Park 6 (both accessed from West Street), the Toy Story Lot (off of Harbor Blvd) or the parking structure at the Anaheim GardenWalk (off of Katella Ave.) You can download a parking map here.

SHUTTLE - Also note that the Convention Center is providing shuttle service to and from both the Disney Toy Story Lot and the Anaheim GardenWalk parking structure. For your convenience, the shuttle runs from 7 am to 10 pm. Parking is $15 -- the same rate as at the Convention Center.

SPECIAL DISNEY TICKET OFFER FOR CONGRESS ATTENDEES

Religious Education Congress attendees can purchase specially priced Disneyland resort eTickets prior to their arrival. There is special pricing for Twilight Convention tickets (after 4 pm), 1-day 1-park, multi-day and park hopper tickets. This eTicket offer is only available online at disneytickets.disney.go.com/store/ZMRB16A and only through Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 9:00 PM PST.

The tickets are valid from Thursday, February 18, 2016, through Monday, February 29, 2016.

Note: These specially priced tickets are intended only for RECongress attendees and their companions. Only registered attendees are allowed to purchase tickets from the discounted ticket store link and up to 6 tickets maximum. Disney reserves the right to contact the ticket purchaser to request event registration confirmation. If it is discovered that the purchaser of the ticket is not participating or attending this event, it will be considered a misuse of this offer and the ticket(s) will be blocked and will not be eligible for a refund. In addition, these tickets cannot be purchased for the purpose of being resold.

GET THE CONGRESS APP!

The Congress "app" (a mobile event guide) for Congress 2016 attendees will be released again this year. It features speaker information, session schedules, workshops, maps and more! It is accessible from all devices with an Internet browser — smartphones, tablets and desktops. Note: You will need to enter your personal schedule, since the app is not directly connected to the registration system. Access to the RECongress app will begin in October 2015.

YOUTH DAY 2016 APP

With this app you can stay up-to-date with all Youth Day speakers, musicians and performers by following them on Twitter, viewing their websites and even finding them on Facebook.

Youth Day is much more than just a one-day experience and this app will allow you to keep with you what each speaker and musician says long after the day is over, and check out their websites and find out how to put everything they said into action.

If you are having any technical problems with the app and would like to report a bug or have more questions about the app, contact the developer at CGonzalez@la-archdiocese.org

CONGRESS LITURGIES

This Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, as called for by Pope Francis, has inspired many people already and given the Church great energy moving into the next year. It had a great impact on our work in preparation for Congress 2016. The jubilee year, along with Pope Francis' encyclical on the environment, sparked some wonderful creativity in our liturgy preparations. Our hope is that the liturgies of Congress may be a Spirit-filled encounter with Christ Jesus and a celebration of the life of the Church. We invite you to experience a liturgy from among the many cultures represented.
