Why didn’t I get an email confirmation of registration?

Confirmation Form shows a blank email address.
• How do I know if I got my first choices?
I’ve registered online. Now what?
After authorizing your credit card charge and submitting your workshop choices, you have the opportunity to print a Workshop Confirmation Form, which is a summary of your workshop selections, the ticket mailing address, and your credit card Order ID (we refer to as a “V” number). Once your registration has been processed (usually within two weeks), you will receive an email confirmation of your RECongress Registration number. (This is a benefit of online registration; mailed-in registrations do not receive such confirmations). Tickets will be mailed out beginning January 31, 2008 and are your ONLY confirmation of which workshops you have received.
When will I know what workshops I received? There is no way to check which workshops you have been assigned before you receive your tickets. Your mailed tickets will show your assignments.
We actually do not assign workshops until we have about 7,000 registrations. At that point we run a projection to determine the most popular workshops, which are then assigned to the largest rooms. Once speakers have been assigned to rooms, we then assign our registrants. Tickets begin being printed about a month out from Congress.
When you register online, a Reference number (or "V number") is created for each transaction. The "V" number assigned in the credit card processing is a 12 alphanumeric number, for example VABC0A12B3CD. For online security, the RECongress office never sees your credit card information, just your “V” reference number. It is proof to us that a registration fee has been paid.
I registered online but didn’t get a “V” number.Contact RECongress@aol.com with the date you registered and the name that was used for the credit card charge so we can research if your credit card was charged.
I registered online but didn’t get to make my workshop choices.
If you have your V reference number - you can enter your ticket mailing address and workshop choices on our Workshop Selection Page. NOTE: You MUST include your V number in the comments field at the end of the form.
If you DON'T have a V reference number - Contact RECongress@aol.com with your name and the date you registered so wee can research if there was a credit card payment.
Should I bring my Workshop Confirmation Form to Congress? If you don't receive your tickets in the mail by Congress time, bring your Workshop Confirmation Form to Congress as proof of registration. NOTE: Only Workshop Confirmation Forms with a unique, printed V reference number will be officially recognized.
I registered online but didn’t print out a Workshop Confirmation Form. The Workshop Confirmation Form is confirmation that we have received your workshop choices, but not necessarily that your registration has been processed. Once you have completed online registration, your registration will be processed and will be assigned a RECongress Registration number. Your registration is confirmed by email (only if an email address has been provided) within two weeks or so of your online registration.
I registered by mail. Can I get a Congress Registration Confirmation?
Congress Registration Confirmations are only available to those who registered online.
I didn’t get a Congress Registration Confirmation email.Congress Registration Confirmations are only sent to those who have registered online AND gave their email address (confirmed on the Workshop Confirmation Form).
I registered online. I provided an email address. It’s been three weeks after registration. Why didn’t I get an email confirmation of registration? You might not be the recipient of the email. An email confirmation may not have been received due to mistyped email address or the confirmation is going to some other email address (the person who paid). NOTE: The email confirmation will be sent to the email address provided on the Workshop Selection Form.
There are actually two separate places to provide an email address during online registration:
On the credit card charge processing page -- the email address provided on this page will be the contact for credit card problems only.
On the Workshop Selection Form -- the email address provided on this page will receive Congress online registration and ticket mailing address confirmation.
How do I know if I got my first choices?
Workshops are not actually assigned until we get about 7,000 registrants. We then run a projection of attendance and assign the popular workshops to the Arena and the larger rooms. So, generally speaking, the first 5,000 registrants are "guaranteed" their first choices.
