Search Tips
Only use words that are relevant to your
query. If youre looking for information about
Congress 2000, it's not necessary to type I'm looking for information
on Congress 2000. Remember: all the words in your query
need to be part of the information youre after. So queries like the previous example will
include all documents about looking for information on Congress 2000, which may not be exactly what you want.
Specify multiple forms of the same phrases. Check for both
versions of hyphenated and non-hyphenated words. So, sometimes it might be necessary to specify that you want both versions, as in
CDROM CD-ROM." To the search engine CDROM and CD-ROM are the same, but it never hurts to specify multiple forms.
Common words are ignored. So there is no need to type them
-- including words like a, and, of, or, the.
